LED Automotive Lights| Turn Signals, Brake lights for all your vehicle lighting

More car manufacturers are beginning to use LED automotive lights as standard lights for use as automotive turn signals and brake lights - and with good reason! LEDs are different from your standard light bulb in that it doesn't have a filament or gas inside the bulb, so that when you use it as lighting for automotive purposes, they aren't affected by the constant shaking and vibrating that naturally comes with running automobiles.

 So, what are LEDs?

LED Automotive Lights is an acronym for Light Emitting Diode and is essentially a semi-conductor that turns electricity into light. Regular light bulbs have a thin wire inside the bulb, where a current passes to constantly emitting heat to give off light. LEDs, on the other hand, don't burn any wire currents to generate light. Instead, it gives off glowing photons that don't emit any heat at all.

LEDs were originally used for small lighting functions such as alarm clock displays or as the small signals in your computer and other devices that will tell you to change your battery. LEDs were then developed to actually provide light, especially when the cost of semi-conductor material had gone down and made LEDs more practical to develop as a light source.

Many other improvements have been made on LED lighting over time so that there are now LEDs that are pure white light, which appears brighter than any kind of light that is available in the market today. We say that it "appears" brighter, because it actually achieves only 85% of standard lighting, but since the light is so stark against other lights, it "appears" to be brighter. For example, LED brake lights are much redder than ordinary brake lights, so much so that the standard brake lights appear orange when seen beside brake lights made of LED.

Additionally, you get a brighter light for much less energy than the regular light bulb would normally use. This is optimal for led automotive lights as studies show that many car accidents are caused by minimal visibility at night. As the production of cars using LED automotive turn signals and brake lights have increased, the accident rate of these vehicles have, in contrast, somewhat decreased.

Power efficient, cost efficient

LED automotive lights  are brighter, last longer, and are much more difficult to break than your standard light bulb. LEDs are encased in hard resin material that are waterproof, shockproof and virtually unbreakable, which is a blessing for all automobiles, whether you like to drive your car on rough roads or on smooth city asphalt.

They also last a lot longer than incandescent bulbs. The going rate for LED lights is 50,000 hours of continuous use. Imagine you accidentally left your head or tail lights on. If they're made of LED automotive lights, you can be sure that it won't kill your battery even if you had left them on all night and will only discover it when going to work the next day. The power that the LEDs would have consumed will only be a fragment of what standard filament light bulbs will burn.

Not that we're encouraging you to burn out your LED automotive turn signals and brake lights to see if we're telling the truth, but you do get the idea that LEDs are not only power efficient, they're cost efficient as well. LED automotive lights are not only used for headlights, tail lights, turn signals and brake lights, but for other all-around automotive purposes as well, including trunk lights, cabin lights and dashboard lights. We Here at LedLightSource.com want to help you with information and resources to find the LED lights that you need.

Here are some articles on some frequently asked questions and more information on LED lights

Led Emergency Lights Highest efficiency when you need it the most
It didnt take long for led emergency lights to quickly dominate the market.Led emergency lights have been around for decades. However most emergency light must run off batteries and regular light bulbs are not very efficient at that. Newer CCF lamps have higher light output efficiency but not even the latest models can match LED efficiency.LED lighting will make the 21st century the brightest of them all.

Motorcycle Led Lights Solid state ruggedness
Although you can now find motorcycle led lights coming as standard in certain brands and models they were first used by people customizing their rides. When you think about it you cant really blame them LED are a lot more reliable particularly in the adverse conditions a motorcycle presents vibration extreme temperatures humidity and rain. All the things that significantly shorten a regular light bulb have nearly no effect on motorcycle led lights.
